A CELEBRATION OF THE CREATIVE HEART OF OUR CITY

- This is not a ‘Best of’
- This is not a ‘Who’s who’
- This is not a power list

The individuals featured in this portfolio of images were selected from a long list compiled through a public nomination process. We sought to represent as wide a section of the city’s creative community as possible from those nominations that we received. As a result, the portfolio of images includes the Director of well established and successful events such as the SWN music festival alongside hyper-local projects established by hobbyists such as Project Pontcanna.

The shortlist was compiled as objectively as possible and whilst some areas of the arts, such as Literature or Dance, are less well represented than others, this snapshot of ‘Creative Cardiff’ highlights the vast abundance of inspiring activity that takes place in our small but perfectly formed city.

We hope that Project Cardiff will bring the city’s creative endeavours to the attention of a wider audience. Perhaps those on the fringes of the creative community will be inspired into taking action; or those of us already working within the arts will see the potential for future collaboration and alliances within this portfolio of images.
